Three-stone rings are an excellent choice for an engagement ring, as they sit beautifully alongside wedding bands. This enchanting late 19th century ring is a particularly beautiful example, set with a trio of Burmese rubies in their trademark shades of richly saturated pinkish red, each within a halo of antique cushion-shaped diamonds. Mounted traditionally in gold fronted in silver, an indicator of a late 19th century date, this antique jewel manages to balance character with beauty and versatility.
